Hello, mansion and residents! After an extended stay away, I - Stephen Strange - have returned. I know, I know. It's not all that exciting. However, I do have an important question, since I'm currently standing in the front hall with my packed bag(s).

Who needs a roommate?

Clea's absolutely one of my favourite people, but I think the two of us sharing might mean being a bit too much in one another's pockets.

I'm pet free, but don't mind if you have one. I will probably leave books everywhere, I apologise in advance. Common areas will otherwise stay clean. Time change means odd hours initially and med school means probably odd hours in general. I can cook, but if I do someone else should clean (the kitchen). I can clean (the kitchen), but if I do, someone else should cook.

Promise not to make anything explode, even. It's been ages since I did that. (Still sorry, Topaz.)

Brilliant, thank you. Speaking of food, as my new roommate, you get the benefit of my absolute addiction to the chippie by my parents' house. So if you ever want fish and chips or something else, let me know.

A curry pancake roll or two and a steak and kidney pie, please. And curry sauce on the chips.

Out of sheer curiosity, where else can you go?

Mostly just places that're important to me. So my parents' house, the chippie, Kamar-Taj, the mansion, the summer camp Clea and I went to with Bas what feels like a million years ago. That's the only connection we can find, since the Masters of the Mystical Arts don't seem to have any restriction on where they can go. It might be related to the fact that Clea and I are mutants. Or it could be that our powers haven't developed enough. It's all juts conjecture at this point.

But the number of times I can open a portal's limited based on how much magic I have stored away. Three portals is my limit for a 24-48 hour period, usually. At least, that's the point my items run out of stored energy, anyway.

So, London, Kamar-Taj and.... Where was the camp?

Just outside Brockenhurst, which is southwest of London and Southampton in the New Forest National Park. Lots of hiking. Lots of 'learning about nature'. Terrible food. Made good friends, though.

I'll forgive you someday

Just let me know what I can do to make amends - tea? Fish and chips? Fried sausages? I can swing by my dad's local and pick up a proper English breakfast if you want. Or curry - there's a brilliant curry place.

Alternately, I can help you with... what are you doing these days? Library, still? Something more magical?

Thank you for the offer, but I saw Artie's before this one. Maybe Clea will take you up on the offer. You're not allergic to cats, are you? Magical cats? I wonder if they have a different sort of dander. Are they hypoallergenic? I've never thought of that before.

Ah, that might be a sticking point, then. Cata's gorgeous and sweet, but she does do the shedding of fur.

Maybe it's better to say I won't make anything explode by accident. I figured out something pretty cool about my whole 'fireball' thing. It's the same as the lightning thing. Which is the same as a magical projectile. The only difference is intent.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you didn't. I meant that I didn't realise I was making 'magic projectile' way more complicated than it had to be by making it 'magical fire projectile' or 'magical electricity projectile'.

And I like that. The notes bit. I'll definitely have to remember it.

clint says same thing about science but magic has less logic sometimes
thinking too hard common flaw when learning new spells but sometimes precision is better

Yeah, so it was nice to figure out I didn't have to do all that unless I was trying to get a specific result or needed longer-lasting effects.

There's always a price, regardless of what type of magic you practise. Amanda drilled that into my head early on.

I can't help with the roommate situation. I'm the trifecta: Already in a fully occupied joint suite, usually pet-shaped, and married.

I will help you dispose of any excess food you might end up with, though.

Yeah, I don't think I should room with a married couple just yet. Wouldn't wanna cramp your style or anything.

It looks like you're taken care of on the roommate front.

I'm April. I have a small, fluffy dog named Boris that I share with Illyana (it was originally her brother's, and he was my roommate when he lived here), and sometimes I help take care of Eris, her cat.

Med school? You're insane. But if you happen to get to rounds and meet any kids that need prosthetics during their fast-growth phases between what insurance covers, let me know. It's a passion of mine, you might say.
